May 2026: dqMODELS is launching a new series of 3D printed miniature ships, in kit-form and as limited-edition, handbuilt models. The first three miniature ships are based on Irish vessels.
GLENAGEARY
The Glenageary was one of three sister ships owned by Dublin Gas Company from 1920 until the early 1970s.
ULSTER
The Ulster was one of four Steam Packet Ships, owned by City Of Dublin Steam Packet Company and launched in 1861 to ferry Royal Mail and passengers across the Irish Sea between Holyhead and Kingstown (now Dun Laoghaire).
AOIBHINN
AOIBHINN is one of two IPVs (Inshore Patrol Vessels) purchased by Ireland in 2022 from the Royal New Zealand Navy and now operated by the Irish Naval Service to patrol the Irish Sea and the Leinster coast.
